We will cover: filing a timely and late appeal, getting appellate counsel appointed, and ensuring that the (right) transcripts are ordered whether you need a stay; tips for working with trial counsel; the roles of/division of labor between trial and appellate counsel; issue preservation, including objections, offers of proof, and other methods; getting copies of briefs and attending oral argument what happens during and after an appeal; specific types of appeals (ICCA appeals, getting a stay from a single justice, etc.) and many other topics, with plenty of time for any appeal-related questions.
